Heritage Display Board Village Voices

Heritage Display Board Village Voices

A key part of the Community Project was to research, design and install in the Church a set of 3 large, 6ft tall, multi panel display boards depicting the history of Bicker and Bicker Haven from Anglo-Saxon times, including a “Village Voices” project by Bicker Preparatory School students to interview long standing Bicker residents.

With the help of Heritage Lincolnshire, the history timeline was researched by Martin Salisbury and Peter Sargent, who then both designed all of the Display Boards.

The construction was carried out superbly by Clarke-Media of Swineshead, while the exquisite carpentry was provided by local expert Martin Hilton.

The 202 Covid pandemic prevented the Display Boards being open to the public in the Church, therefore, undeterred, we have made the following video narrations of the boards by our History Consultant, Peter Sargent, to share here on the website.  The video capture and editing was expertly done, as ever, by Shaun Waring and the technical implementation by our Web Administrator, Linda Pidgeon.
